I initially trained in Cardiff as a Clinical Psychologist and later in 1996 gained UKCP registration in Systemic Psychotherapy. I worked in the NHS in Wales across child, family, and adult clinical services over a 30 year period. During the latter part of my career I was a member of the Cardiff D Clin Psy training course team and an honorary lecturer with Cardiff University. I was also on the Board of the Journal ‘Clinical Child Psychology and Psychiatry’, both editing and contributing over a number of years.
I now work freelance as an ITM Alexander Technique Teacher and alongside my role at WPI I support the ITMTA ( Interactive Teaching Method Teachers Association ) Regulation Team. I also have an Arts practice after completing a Masters Degree in Fine Art in 2016.
I was delighted to join the WPP now WPI Board in 2018, after retiring from the NHS and having had a break. I along with many NHS Psychology colleagues and clients benefited greatly from the experience and expertise of UKCP registered psychotherapists from all modalities and I am keen to play a part in widening access to high quality training and psychotherapy in Wales.
