About Approach

Therapy:   We can all face problems in life and therapy can offer a safe haven at challenging times. I would provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and confidential space to explore whatever you need to talk about. This process allows you to clarify your thoughts and look at yourself and your story with acceptance and understanding, enabling you to contact inner resources and energy that you may have lost touch with. Therapy helps you to recognise how the helpful and unhelpful ways you relate to yourself and others often echo the helpful and unhelpful aspects of your earlier relationships and experiences.  Sometimes these ways of relating will show themselves in the way we relate to each other in the therapy room and it may be fruitful to examine these.

These are some of the issues that I am trained and experienced in as a therapist.

They include:
* Anxiety
* Generalised Anxiety Disorder
* Eco-Anxiety
* Chemsex
* Depression
* Relationship Issues
* Family Issues
* Self Esteem
* Self Confidence
* Stress
* Affairs and Betrayal
* Separation and Divorce
* Sexual Orientation
* Abuse
* Addictions
* Co-Dependency
* Trauma
* O.C.D. (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
* Compulsive Hoarding

Supervision:

I aim to offer a relational process to a supervisory relationship that honours the way that you work.

My main practical and theoretical focus is the seven-eyed model of Hawkins and Shohet that uses the relationship that may arise between therapist and supervisor to inform work with the client.

I am particularly interested in the development and training of therapists, working with students to draw out and enhance their abilities, informed by humanistic and psychoanalytic theory and my own experience.
