Training Member of WPI
All of the above for organisations.
My practice, values & orientation have developed organically through 33 years experience in mental health and substance misuse settings & private practice as well as through my training. I draw on a number of approaches including Object Relations & Attachment Theory, T.A. Gestalt, Person Centred and Bodywork and am more interested in connections than divisions between therapeutic traditions. Fostering and actively working with the Therapeutic Relationship is for me the central integrating principle of therapy.
My experience has taught me to be flexible & creative in my approach to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. At the same time I am acutely aware of the commanalities we all share as human beings.
I regularly practice Mindfulness which supports me in staying present with clients.
